The thought of any "decent" manager reading or, God forbid, putting anything from a book like this into practice would depress the heck out of me!

Thanks for posting. They look to literature that helps them apprehend human nature. The stuff you're referring to is for the peon managers.

Comment on Grey's Anatomy...Workplace Fact or Fiction

I really enjoyed reading this blog. I worked in the Corporate world, although it too had its downsides, after 22 years there I had freedom, flexibility, and what used to be called VACATION! Then, being over 45 years old, I was suddenly "downsized" and forced to scramble to land a similar paying job... landed one in the legal field, good salary, but what I didn't realize when I took the job is there is NO freedom, NO trust that you can do your work, NO breaks, and NO VACATION! They now have what is called PTO time... a lousy 15 days a year for everything, if you are a few minutes late... it comes off your PTO, doctor appt... comes off your PTO, sick family member... comes off your PTO so by the time I reached one year on the job and summer hit... I had no time left to take a vacation break. I feel like I am in a prison and I am hardly the only one there with the same thoughts. Why don't they understand that limited a person's ability and not being flexible or even slightly understanding actually hurts productivity? Amazing. My question is how do I find either a better more family friendly and flexible employer or how do you go out on your own and make it financially?? Thoughts?

Comment on 40 Things You'd Like to Say Out Loud at Work

This is great! I'm in love with these machines, for work and home, can't get enough. They have over 200 varieties of coffee, tea and cocoa. There’s no waste or clean up. On site, fresh brewed cup always available saves you the trip to DnD or Starbucks for a fresh cup of coffee. And it’s convenient and easy to use.

Check it out: www.keurig.com/aw

Comment on Four-Letter Word

Keep the faith!
